Are you referring to the main character? In that case, no there isn't a cheat for choosing the main charcter. it happens randomly.

your tamagotchis are still teens and they are not of a particular family. To check out the families in the Tamagotchi V5 you should check out a V5 growth chart. I had posted one earlier; you can find it by searching in the archive on the right of this page (near the top).
hi its bri again you know when people say to get the pure family characters (i.e) Kuchapatchi ect.. you need to get 40-70 bond points do you need to get 70 or can you get 60 or 50 and still get main characters

If you have Mametchi the dating show will work after three days not two because i have Mametchi and it took three days for the dating show to work. I have Sukatchi and Mametchi and Memetchi. I will marry Memetchi with Mumutchi so i can get the pure Meme Family. and Jesmond when you get your Familitchi post it here so this site can be more interesting!

1. why do they always go to sleep at 9.00pm and wake up at 7.00pm???

to answer all Laura's questions:
1. they go to sleep at 9:00 pm because thats usually the time bandai thought their audience would go to sleep and you usually wake up for school at 7:00am. So bandai wanted the tamagotchi's to go to sleep and wake up with you so you don't have to take care of them when your asleep. I guess i haven't confirmed this but it would seem likely.
2. you raise the bond by changing the time to 7:59, 9:59, 11:59 ect. and then wait a minute. a training bubble should pop up and it'll make a cute beeping noise.
3. You will always get a blended family on your 1st gen. but if you get the adult characters Mametchi, Memetchi, Violotchi or Kuchipatchi you'll have the chance to get a pure family. then wait 2 days then they should be able to go to the dating channel on the tv icon. Here are the Combos to get a pure family.
Mametchi+chantotchi=Mame family
Memetchi+Mumutchi=Meme family
Violetchi+Sukatchi=Violet family
Kuchipatchi+Yonepatchi=Kuchi family
Those are the only ways to get a pure family.
*NOTE it will not work the other way around. (as in Chantotchi+Mametchi will not get you a pure family) and the bonding HAS to be 100% or it wont become a pure family once they have babies.
4. Yes games are the only way to get money (that i know of)
5. It should take about an hour for the babies to evolve into a child, 2 days to become a teen, 2 days to become a adult and 1-2 days to make it ready to get married.
6. Oh well i dont know about the last question but i do know a trick to wake her up. The trick is to change the time to 6:59am then wait a minute the matchmake should be awake then. I HOPE I HELP AND PLEASE PLEAS GO TO MY BLOG.
I have 2 V5's and 1 V4 and V3 all are toddlers that are not sleeping and they are awake. My V4 and one of my V5's won't grow up and I have had them for weeks...what is the problem?? Please help me out
that's either a glitch or they are on pause. Try pressing the reset button on the back of your tamagotchi and then pressing download.

Hey Jesmond can you make a 3D pic with some of the v5.5 characters or of Sukatchi, papamemetchi bellutchi, hotteatchi and furikotchi. Or kuchipatchi, uhyotchi papapatchi and papamemetchi. You dont have to its just those are some of my fav characters and i would like to see them in 3D.

how do you put in these cheats
Ok, if at least 3 people say they will join the Hatch by next week, I'll make the hatch but if at least 3 people don't join I won't do the hatch and I will be at camping starting tomarrow for 4 days i still will be on chabi-chabi.blogspot.com through my dad's iPhone but i don't think i will upload the pictures while im at camping so i think i will upload them all once i come back. Here are the rules for the hatch if it happens:
1.You MUST join hatch (by posting a post saying I will join the hatch.) by August 30 no exeptions
2.sorry but you have to post at least once while hatching, while they're in their children stage, Teen stage and adult stage.

You mean you have a Japanese V5 tamagotchi? Cos that's what Familitchi refers to. in that case I don't think the above codes will work for a japanese V5.

Well if you bought it from a shop in America then you have a Tamagotchi V5...I don't understand why the codes aren't working on your tama.

Hi Alene :) Yes you have an American version Famitama. Also your tamas should evolve any time now since they take about 2 days to evolve into teens.
I'm really sorry to hear that the cheats are not working...I'm sure that you must not be entering them correctly. Try again is all I can say...I wish I could help you more :(

Hi Alene. Yes I think that your might have the V5.5 after all, that's why these cheats won't work for you. Here is a simple way to determine if your Tamagotchi version is the V5.5: give your tamas something to eat, and if two servants come to feed your tamas then you have the V5.5. Please let me know what version you have.
i jus wanted to ask why there is no memory in my tama v5, its like the 6th generation and there is still no memory..can i see my tama in the tamatown?(as in like the 1st generation of tamas)

And iv only got 1 tamagotchi not three!!! although i feel soz for the tamagotchi 1. because she doesnt have any siblings to play with and 2. because she has to eat all that food by herself! lol

We have been connecting ours since they were babies, and they love playing together!! When they are adults, can they mate almost immediately beacuse of their already established bond?
Is there a way to get Mimitchi in this version? I haven't seen him in any growth charts, and he's one of my favorite adults! (Although I'm also certainly glad to see Kuchipatchi!)
Do I always have to care for three monsters, or can I have one or two? Four?
Please excuse me if these are kinda dumb questions, but this is my first time with a Tama in over a year and a half, and they've certainly changed a lot, so I'm, in some ways, relearning.

I'll try to answer some of your questions:
1. The Tamagotchi V5 Celebrity or V5.5, has different characters than the V5. There are some characters from the V5 though, like many of the teen and child characters are still there. There is a special family in the Celebrity Version but it's not the space family.
2. I can't really tell you whether you should get a celebrity version or just wait for the v6. I'll just say that the celebrity V5 is very similar to the regular v5, it just has different characters and some new animations.
3. Tamas hatch in a minute, grow to the child stage in an hour and the next stages will usually take about 2 days / 48hrs (if I'm not mistaken). They will be able to get married 48hrs after they change into their adult forms.
4. Unfortunately there is no Mimitchi in the V5. I was really sorry to hear that they had dropped this character from the list of V5 characters.
5. The first time you start your V5 you will always have 3 characters. However in later generations you can have 2 or even one tama character on the screen. it all depends on how many eggs a marriage produces.

hi Kathy, the memory icon lets you view tamas you have connected to and to see previous generations of tamagotchis.
to get Memetchi you need to train a female child with the Cheerful items until you reach 80-100% bonding. If you get 100% bonding, and mate Memetchi with Mumutchi, you'll have the pure Meme family.
Every time i try to input the code for a balance biscuit it gives me like a negative sound and keeps me in the screen it won't give me any item..help?
ou don't have a V5 Celebrity version? i think that most codes from the regular V5 don't work on the Celebrity version V5.5

I was neglecting the tama's happiness hearts in the hopes of having a little ninja family. They grew into adults never once having a happy heart -- and NO NINJAS!
Yet yesterday I was terribly busy and neglected to feed them for a period of maybe 4 hours and suddenly they are a petite family. What gives?

To add other tamagotchi units as friends just connect with them and they will be added automatically to your friends list.

I mean connect the two tamas with infrared. go to the last icon in the top row of icons (it looks like a heart), and make sure that the tops of the two tamagotchis are close and facing each other...it's all explained in detail in the instruction manual.

apart from the items you can wait for specific times when your tamas will call for attention. this is when you need to use the training option so that you can raise the bonding percentage. Please note that not all the items will raise the bonding percentage.
Regard you background...i don't really know what you mean. are you referring to the shell color of your tamagotchi? It seems like yu have a V5.5 / Celebrity version.

Well you can take care of your Meme family by feeding it or playing games with it.You cant have the Meme family forever. In two or three days the dating show will work. You can only choose Memetchi to marry because she is a adult. Imotchi is a teenager so she cant get married.

I don't recall that there's a dog character on the V5...I think that you're referring to the pet that you can get for the different pure families. Since you have a pure violet family than that means that you can get a pet. To do that just raise the bonding percentage to 100% and you will see the pet when you press the C-button.
If you find that the above codes are not working than that means that you have a Tamagotchi that is not a V5. You probably have a V5 Celebrity version / V5.5...the above codes don't work for this version. I haven't found any codes for the V5.5 yet, but if I find them I'll make sure that they're posted on this blog.
ok i am really annoyed with my v5 i have tried all of those secret codes and none of them worked not even the one where u get 1000 gotchipoints does anyone know what i should do? i have checked all over the internet for the answer and have come up with nothing. i think my tamagotchi might be a dud.... if anyone has any type of information on my problem please post it . thank you sooo much
Hi, purenightmares. I think the problem with your tamagotchi is that it is not a regular V5. To know which versio your tama is: feed your tamas and if 2 servants appear to prepare the food, then that means that you have a V5.5 / V5 Celebrity version. The above codes don't work with this version and there aren't any cheats for this version so far.
Hi just got my famatama today . How do i make the bond percentage go up and how long will it take for my family to grow up , they grew from a baby to children after a few hours after buying , is that normal ? also it says u can decide how its gonna be when it grows up , how so and what will the adult tama be like ?
Jesmond i think my tamagotchi is normal they dont have any servants even though that would be very cool. i havent found anything irregular except for the fact that not any cheats work.....i know its american. i got it at a walmart.it is white with pink stars on it if that helps at all. i dont thnk i have the cheats wrong cuz i got them from your site and everyone else said they worked sooooooooo.... im thnking if noone can help or figure out whtas wrong ill have to buy another 1 and then theres still no garantee that itll work.....have you said something that ive missed... there isnt a DVD button but everyone sais that the Special button worked just the same... im getting kinda confused about it all... plz help thank you soooo much for trying to figure it out.. and hope everyone else has more fun with this than i am.

here is how you get Mametchi, Memetchi, Furawatchi and Kutchipatchi:
To get Mametchi you need a male Tama and train him with Smart items until you reach 80-100% bonding. If you get 100% bonding, and mate him with Chantotchi you'll have the pure Mame family.
to get Kutchipatchi you need to train a male child with the Easy-Going items until you reach 80-100% bonding. If you get 100% bonding, and mate Kutchipatchi with Yonepatchi., you'll have the pure Kutcipa family.
to get Memetchi you need to train a female child with the Cheerful items until you reach 80-100% bonding. If you get 100% bonding, and mate Memetchi with Mumutchi, you'll have the pure Meme family.
to get Furawatchi/Violetchi you need to train a female child with the smart items until you reach40%-70% bonding. If you get 100% bonding, and mate Furawatchi with Sukatchi, you'll have the pure Violet family.
Also the amount of time for tamas to change from one stage to the next is roughly 48 hours...except babies to toddlers, which grow after 1 hour; and toddlers to children which grow in 24 hours.

I tried to read through all of the previous question's, but only got maybe half because i didn't want to ask something 100 others were asking ^^ anyway, I'm 18 (surprise surprise) and i do not wake up at 7 AM because college is a killer. I woke up this morning at 11 to find my fmily had turned into the Petite family, and i hit reset them download and they were still the petite family so i figure i did something bad before they went to sleep.
Is there anyway to make my familt return to my family and not this itty bitty Petite family? or do I have to reset to get a new one? T-T

Hey There! I'm sorry to have bothered you with my question, but i was just clicking around on other links and visiting other sites and found the answeres i needed!
My petite family has now turned back into my blended family and I couldn't be happier.
For anyone else that may be having this problem there are items that can help your family turn back depending on thier condition
1. The Large Family - you get this family form feeding them to much and they get really big (obviously *facepalm*) feed them these items:
Balance Biscut (meal)
Mirror (item)
2. The Petite Family - this family is from feeding the Tama;s to little and they get incredibly tiny, use these items:
Milk (meal)
Manifying Glass (item)
3. The Ninja Family - this family is from not being happy, such as no happy hearts at all for a long time, use these:
Steamed Bun (snack)
Whistle (item)
and that's that! you should get your blended family back after that, and make sure to take good care of them afterward. Or if you sleep to much like me, be prepared to use them when need be.

Well even when i do that they dont work.
's because you have a celebrity V5 tamagotchi / v5.5. The above cheats don't work with a celebrity tama.

Your tamagotchis need to be adult for about 2 days before they can get married.

tamagotchi v5 is THE WORST tamagotchi yet. i prefer the other 1s. most ppl, bought it cause of the fact that u can raise 3 characters, but its bad. the worst of all part r no jobs.i sit there for 2 days until they grow. and u culd even overfeed them,that doesnt change ur tama growth, its how u train them. and with the cheats and all, its a waste.

Hi Jojo, I don't mind you asking questions :) I made the banner the same way I made all the 3/d images of tamas you see on this site: with TrueSpace 3.2 and then I edited the picture with Photoshop. You're actually the first person to show interest in my header :D It was a lot of hard work.

i have a problem with my tamagotchi V5...
i got my tamagotchi V5 last week and now they are adults...
i tried using some of the cheat codes from ur web to put it in my tamagotchi but i doesnt seem to work. I went to the heart icon on the tamagotchi and i clicked special and then i typed in the codes from your web and it doesnt work.
When my friend tried it on her tamagotchi and she barely got it yesterday it worked right away...
What do i do??
I really want those codes to get free items...
You probably bought the tamagotchi V5.5...unfortunately the above codes don't work with the V5.5, and to-date there are still no cheats available for this new version.

answers to questions posted recently:
1. to raise bonding level you need to train your tamas, during specific times of the day(10:00 am , 12:00 pm , 2:00 pm , 4:00 pm , and 6:00 pm), your tamas will call for your attention and a question mark over the tamas heads will appear. scroll to the training icon (smiley icon with speech bubble). You will eventually see 3 items. The first item is Smart , the second one is Cheerful , and the last one is easy going.
2. there is no way to make your tamagotchi age faster.

just to help you you can't wake up the matchmaker if you tried to get married three times so try again the next day. The UFO means that your tama went back to tamagotchi planet and no longer wants to be with you so you need to restart

The tamas are ready for the dating channel 2 days after they become adult...somethimes even longer than that.

I just got a v5 tamagotchi and Ive been trying for two days now to put in some of those cheats that you have listed above. I go to the log out screen and enter the code, but the only code that i have gotten to work is the money cheat. What am I doing wrong?
unfortunately these cheats will only work with regular V5 Tamagotchis. If they're not working for you it means that you have a different version. They also won't work for the Celebrity V5 / V5.5

Just go to that page and you will find codes for your v5 familitchi. 1000 gotchi points every time, i am a millionaire because of it. I have let my gotchis have whatever they want and they all have grown up perfectly!!!!!

to bond you need to wait for specific times when your tamas will call for attention. this is when you need to use the training option so that you can raise the bonding percentage.

Family bond shows how much the family has bonded so far. You increase this by doing certain activities (playing games), playing a game with another tamagotchi (by connecting) using certain items (Unchi-kun, the Gotchi King DVD, or Magokorotchi) and they will call you at certain times of the day for training which increases their bonding level. When bonding reaches 100% you will get special animations after you press the C button, depending on which characters you have.

Hi Tama Rule. I made some research and apparently the Gotchi King DVD needs to be used 34 times before you see the bonding increase. After using it for 34 times, the bonding will increase by 10%. I'm not 100% sure about this, I would very much appreciate it if you tested it and told us about the outcome.
Is there a chart that show you the pictures of all the items(meals, snacks, items, souveniers, rares) that you can get on the v5?

OMG OMG OMG I just got a V5 going after a dreadfull trip to the toilet... anywayz so i need some help. When ur tama is on the ''ground'' and kinda moving back and forth with a constipated look on it's face, what does that mean?

that means that your tama needs to go to the toilet. if you're quick enough scroll to the toilet icon and the tama will use a toilet rather than go on the floor. this will also fill a happy heart.
these are great cheats but I have a celebrity tama and they won't work not that I care. my tamas have been toddlers for three days now why won't they evolve
As I've stated in the post, these cheats are only for the regular V5, they won't work with the V5.5 / Celebrity version.
Usually tamas evolve after 48 hours, so they should evolve any time now.

My friend and i have two V5's (adults) we want them to get married and their relationships are up to the highest it can go, and the matchmaker never lets us go on, weve changed the date a few times could that be the problem?
well mating two tamagotchis by connecting doesn't involve the matchmaker at all. Make sure that both tamas have been adults for at least 48 hrs, that they're male and female and just keep connecting. eventually they will get married.

On the Tamagotchi V5, discipline/praise has been changed to training on the V5. the speech bubble icon is used for training your tamagotchi. At 10:00am , 12:00 pm , 2:00 pm , 4:00 pm , and 6:00 pm. Your Tamas will make a little " jungle tune " and call for TRAINING. When they do this , a question mark will be displayed over their heads. Go to the Smiley icon with the speech bubble ( icon # 6 ) and click it ( B ). Choose one of the following icons. They will be different. 2 are activities and 2 music. The first one is Smart , the second one is Cheerful , and the last one is easy going. These determine which character they turn into.
And, no its not weird for a 15 year old to enjoy tamagotchis, and don't let anyone tell you that it is. There are some really weird people about and liking tamgotchis does not make you one of them.

how do u put ur v 5 on pause
there isn't a regular pause function on the V5. instead you can use the travel channel. Send your tamas on vacation and this way they will be paused.

Hi! I'm just got my V5 familitchi and was wondering how to raise the bond percentage. My tamas are teenagers and the bond is at 20%.
I will take anything to raise it up.
every1, this is for pp who has the UFO symbol (dead tamagotchi) if ur tama is dead, then u can always bring it bck... okay first u get 3 new eggs, then u press the reset button and the 2 buttons might be b and c... im not sure if it will work but that cuz i havent had mine die yet... also i'm not sure if it will work on v.5 bcuz my other tamas have died and those worked to bring them bck to life ... all u need to do is to keep care of them if u want thm to stay alive. dont leave them alone unless itz on pause or the travel show.. this will help u , trust me... not sure but i hope it will!

the best way to increase bonding is to train your tamagotchis. At certain times of the day they will call out for attention, then choose the smiley face with speech bubble icon to train them.
The tamagotchi V5.5 are already out and can be bought from many toy stores.
You can't make your tamagotchi age faster, i.e. there is not a cheat to speed up the age process...you'll have to be patient. Teenagers and adults take about 48 hours to grow.
there are many different way to set up a website. I preferred using the blogger template...just google 'blogger' and you'll find how to set your blog...it's very easy.
i was wonderin is there a special way to get a mametchi cause hes my favorite. number 2 when u say go 2 the heart and go 2 dvd idont get what u mean. all it shows is v5,special,pc. thats all it shows. plez help.
