Tamagotchi ID - Monpatchi

Yay, I got a new character on my Tamagotchi ID! : Monpatchi. here's his picture:

And here's his close-up:

I got this character by taking really bad care of him... I actually did it on purpose cos I was aiming for a different character than the ones I'm seeing on other Tamagotchi logs. I have to admit that taking bad care of your tamas is sometimes worth it....Monpatchi is 100% cute and adorable! I like how he moves his long arms while moving around.
You might also have noticed that I changed the theme of the Tamagotchi's living room, and I'm currently saving to upgrade to the 'sweets' theme...it looks really yummy :)
That's it for today.
Check back soon :D

Tamagotchi ID - Chamametchi's marriege and Hanepatchi

Sorry for not updating this blog yesterday. I was a bit busy but still managed to take a lot of pictures so I've got a lot to show you guys! :)
Well yesterday I was extremely surprised when I checked on the door icon and saw this option:

As y'all might know, Chamametchi was a teenage character on prevous Tamagotchi versions, however on the ID, Chamametchi and Kikitchi are 'friend' characters. You can keep these two characters indefinitely (thanks to !Gotchi-Gotchi! for this info). Apparently, 'friend' characters can get married and since I wasn't planning on having Chamametchi as the permanent character on the ID, I decided to let her get married. The marriage process was somewhat different that the TMGC+C's.

As you can see, the matchmaker has been 'upgraded' lol. She's younger and cuter now :)

You're shown a series of potential mates. Here's Kikitchi introducing himself to Chamametchi :)

You choose which character will marry your Tamagotchi. I chose Kikitchi cos he made a good first impression :D

Getting married!

Chamametchi had a baby boy!

She played with her baby for a few seconds then put him to bed and immediately left by sliding off to the left of the screen. It was a bit sad seeing her go so quickly :(

An hour later the baby grew up into Hanepatchi...I think he's sooo cute. I love the fact that there are new characters as well as old ones on the Tamagotchi ID.

Here's a close-up of Hanepatchi. Don't y'all think that he looks A LOT like Oddish from the Pokemon?

Here's Oddish :)

One last picture. I upgraded the interior of the main living room. Yep, that's McDonald's. I got the new theme by inputting a special code I got from Binary (I hope Binary doesn't mind). I'll try to find some time to write a post with some Tamagotchi ID codes.
I'm very curious to see what Hanepatchi will grow into; there are a lot of new characters on the T ID which is definitely a good thing...it adds that extra element of surprise :)
Anyway, y'all check back soon :)

Tamagotchi ID - Chamametchi

Well I've got a lot to show you guys today. First of all, in the last post I remember typing that I would be writing another post when my Tamagotchi becomes an adult...I had totally forgotten that Shelltchi is a child character and that it still had to grow into it's teenage stage! LOL. Shelltchi grew up into Chamametchi:

Here's a close-up shot of her. So sweet :)

The tamagotchi ID just keeps getting better and better. As the tama grows, more feature are becoming available. Teen and adult characters can visit an accessory store and buy head gear such as hats, head-phones and sun-glasses. I bought Chamametchi a pair of heart shaped sunglasses. There's also a new accessible area in the Tama's house which looks like a closet and is used by the Tamagotchi to put on the accessories bought from the store. Here's Chamametchi, in the closet, wearing her new sun-glasses.

Accessories are worn all the time and they appear in every animation except when the Tamagotchi character is sleeping.
A new feature which I really like is the photo-studio. I have to admit that photo-shoots are a bit expensive though. Here's Chamametchi getting ready for a photo-shoot.

You get to choose the background and a costume for your tama's photo-shoot. All photos are stored in the album and can be viewed anytime you want. I took two pictures of Chamametchi wearing different costumes. I LOVE the bunny costume! It's soooo adorable!! :D

While I was taking these photos I saw this screen:

I have no idea what it's about; when I pressed the B button, Chamametchi returned to her regular animation. I wish someone can translate what Chamametchi is saying...anyone?
Tell me what y'all think of this new Tamagotchi? I'm loving it so far, definitely better than the TMGC+C!

Tamagotchi ID - Shelltchi

Yesterday my Tamagotchi ID evolved into her Teenage stage. She's Shelltchi now :) Aint's she cute!!

Here's a close-up shot of her...sorry about the blurriness. I couldn't get the close-up animation after this so this is the best close-up picture I have of her .
Another feature, which has now become available, is the eating-out option. It can be accessed from the food(second) icon. This option is not available for younger tamagotchis. Here's a picture of my Shelltchi at a restaurant.

You can also buy food from the store but the food is so expensive that I only tried it once.

After yesterday's post, some visitors explained to me the mail feature. Apparently the Tamagotchi ID receives mail from other tamas, i.e. tamas you have connected with; therefore, the letters I'm receiving are from Gorrippatchi because I connected her with the Tamagotchi ID! I think this feature is brilliant and a really nice touch. It sort of adds a new layer of interactivity between other Tamagotchis...I just wish I knew what's written in the letters.

That's it for today. Feel free to leave comments. I'll be writing a new post when Shelltchi becomes an adult so make sure that you check back again! :)

Tamagotchi ID Vs Tamagotchi + Color

So as promised here's a post comparing the two color versions : TMGC+C and the Tamagotchi ID. It's raining this morning and there wasn't enough natural light so some of the photos turned out a bit dark....I apologize for that.

Here they are side by side. The one on the left is the TMGC+C and the other is the ID. This photo doesn't really capture the difference but I noticed that the color screen on the Tamagotchi ID looks a lot better than the one on the TMGC+C. The colors are a bit washed out on the Tamagotchi + Color; I'm very pleased with this improvement.

...And, as you can see, the two versions can connect with each other. Characters which are not available on either version appear as Nazotchi which is the default character. P.S. notice the heart icons on the far right of each screen to see the difference between the colors.

The above photo shows the difference between the two units. I love the fact that the ID has a more streamlined case; it's also very comfortable to hold.
Having said all this, I do not like the new buttons, they're not very responsive...not at all actually.

While I was taking the above pictures, my Hoshitchi received it's first letter. I have no idea what's written on it...can anyone translate it for us?

On a side note, the seller from whom I bought the Tamagotchi ID also sent me a packet of Tamagotchi tissues which, I think, are so cute. They smell really nice too. Is anyone interested in buying them from me?

That's it for today. I might write another post later today when my Tamagotchi grows into it's teenage stage.

Before I sign off, here's the 3D picture I had made of Hoshitchi:

Tamagotchi ID - First impressions

I was planning on writing a post with pictures earlier today but I had to charge the camera batteries....and I have to admit that I couldn't wait that long so I started the Tamagotchi without taking any pictures XD. However the starting process is exactly the same as the TMGC + C; the only difference was the egg which had stars instead of polka dots. The Clock is different though, here's a picture of it:

A nice change for sure, loves it :D ! I popped in some batteries in the TMGC + C to compare the two screens and I noticed that the colors are more intense on the Tamagotchi ID. Another thing which I tried was the connection feature on the two Tamagotchi versions and I was happy to find out that the TMGC+C and the Tamagotchi ID can connect with each other! I'll write another post tomorrow, or the day after, and make a proper comparison between the two Tamagotchi color versions.
Anyway, the egg hatched into a cute baby girl. The character name is Patchikutchi. Again, I did not have my camera at the time so I don't have a picture of her unfortunately; but you can find a picture here.
The Tamagotchi ID has new games. The first one is a slot machine game which is really easy, and the second one is a catching game which is very similar to the one found on the TMGC + C. Here are some quick photos I took of the two games:

60 minutes after Patchikutchi was born, she evolved into Hoshitchi. You might recall that this was a special character on the Familitchi/V5:

Something else that I noticed is a mailbox outside in the yard. I don't recall seeing this on the Tamagotchi + Color:

Sorry for the short post but I've only been using this Tamagotchi for the last couple of hours so I still need to become familiar with the whole thing. So far it has been very similar to the TMGC+C. I'll be typing daily posts for the entire first generation and I'll post as many pictures and information as possible so make sure that you check back soon.
Take care y'all! :)

Tamagotchi ID - it arrived today :)

Well the tamagotchi ID I ordered a few days ago has arrived today. I had to pay €24 to get it cleared through customs which is a first. I've never had any packages held in customs before. Anyway, it's finally here and I have to say that I'm really excited about it. It's really late right now and so I can't take good quality pictures until tomorrow morning. Also I've tried putting in the batteries but I can't figure out how to open the back. I tried pushing the small button like on the Tamagotchi + Color but the battery cover isn't budging! I'll try again tomorrow. In the meantime here's an extremely low quality picture of my Tamagochi ID I took with my cell phone.
