OM21: A reminder about Tama-Go Gotchi Figures

I may have messed up in my previous post about Gotchi Figures, so let me clear up some confusion.

There are two types of Gotchi Figures:

  • Type A : (seen above) These are the ones that come with the Tamatown Tama-Go when you first purchase it. They only include one game; they do not unlock any new foods or items, and you don't see the character while you play.
  • Tybe B: These are the ones sold separately. They include not just a new game, but also foods and possibly items. If you connect one of these to your Tama-Go and go to Tamatown.com, special features are unlocked.
Currently, three Type A figures exist: Mametchi, Memetchi, and Kuchipatchi. But these three characters are also available as Type B figures. To tell the difference, Type A will have a clear base, while Type B will have a colored one. Also, the poses for the character on top will be slightly altered.

In this image, Type A is the first row, and Type B is the second. What startles me is Kuchipatchi; the only difference in his pose is that Type A just has him squinting...

I hope that clears up any confusion. :)

My pet is in adult stage already , Im afraid I cant find the dating place and she dosen't have a "potential partner" what as the instructions say. I'm a little worried that If my pet dose'nt find another partner , and gets old ,my generation will stop.Do I have to use the IR to find another partner?
Thanks :)

What is the different between tama0go and tamagotchi id?

Anon, the Tamagotchi iD has a color screen, different items, characters, and features, and is available in Japan. The Tama-Go is black-and-white, has online features and those figurines, and is available in the US and Australia.

i have one and i bought a "type B" figurine for it. it is an ichigotchi and it doesnt come with any items so i feel kind of scammed... the best part of my old tamagotchis was watching play with balls and wings and robots... is there any way to get items for it without paying more money for more figurines? Please say yes! i hope there is... :/

Sorry Anonymous, but as it stands, the only way to get items for the Tama-Go is through the figures. It's a real shame, especially since the Japanese Tamagotchi iD offers so much more than the Tama-Go and doesn't even need those figures.
