the above is an actual statement by Bandai...it seems like we're getting another Tamagotchi (I still don't have the V5 grrrrrrr :( can't wait anymore!!). I've found pictures on Tamagotchi Channel (click here) which, I think, show the tamagotchi V5.5. There will to be new designs, 30 new characters and 60 new items. It also seems that there will be jobs on this Tamagotchi. Japanese versions of the V5.5 will come with a DVD (like the one on the V5). Also the V5.5 will be able to connect the Familitchi/V5. How cool is that? Here are the designs of the Japanese Tamagotchi V5.5:

Yes, they are releasing the V5.5, I could hardly believe it myself until I found the statement by Bandai.
Good luck with your V3; The V3 is one of my favorites...so many cute characters, I actually was running one early this week before I got my first V4.5 last Wednesday; then I decided to tab it so as to fully enjoy my new Tama.
Umm... That's not the v5.5.
That's the royal FamiTama it's the Japanese version of the v5. It just looks different and has more characters and comes with a DVD to get prizes with.

I had to remove that list because I realised that those were not the V5.5 cheats but the Japanese Royal familitchi cheats.

connecting between a v5 and v5.5 is allowed...are you sure that you don't have a Japanese version?
No. I'm from Singapore and I bought from a mojor deparmental store.
that's very strange, according to my research, the V5 and V5.5 are able to connect without any problems.
But in the instructions it stated that we cannot connect a v5.5 to an older version.
'older versions' refer to the V4.5, V4, V3 etc. If you try to connect with a V5 there shouldn't be any problems.

to get the royal family you need to marry Prince Tamahiko with Rosetchi...OR you need to marry Princess Tamako with Tamasumatchi. The bonding level needs to be 100%

You know thats not a V5.5 cuz i have one and its not like that it is the same design as the v5 but with new features. I got mine at Kmart for 25 dollars (on sale) and I even live in NZ! And this plaec gets the stuff late!

i just got a V5.5 from k-mart too (aussie!!) BUT just coz it doesn't look the same..doesn't really mean anything..tamagotchis..quite a lot of the time they hav an asian (well...japanese) design...and then one called "pacific" (or perhaps that is also considered part of the asian one?? O_O *lost*) anyways...there's different designs for the versions in different areas....>_>

you have to buy caramel candy and feed it to them, then they will immediately turn back to normal.

Adults can't get married unless they've been adults for at least 48 hours.
And no, there are no cheats for the V5.5 unfortunately.

to turn the model family back to normal use the three way mirror or the milk.
Tamas don't need to have bonding at 100% bonding to get married. Just make sure that they are at least 48 hours old.

is the dating show channel and the infa-red connection marry option the only way to get married
It's difficult to explain what it looks like but you'll know that it's a three way mirror when you see it. Check the shop for the mirror and the milk.
I'm afraid there is no other way to make your tamas get married. You'll have to keep trying.

i got version 5.5! not the japanese one but the normal one! i really want the japanese one and it sucks tha u dont get mail, jobs school and other stuff in vs 5.5 and 5 (not sure abt the japan one though) except now theres a dating show and u can get married easily!!!

Well I don't have a V5.5 but I know that there are no cheats for the V5.5. Also, if you have the blended family you can get the model family by not feeding them enough, the pudding family by feeding them a lot and the paparatchi by taking bad care of them. I hope that helps you.

People!!! havent u been watching tv???!!!! There is a v6 which i have and is sooo awesome!!! Its called music city and you raise a tamagotchi to becaome a celeb!! YOU help your tama create music and preform at Club Pop. YOU have and apartment and the best part yet concerts and friends!!! YOU can ACTUALLY SEE other real tamas just like you! Anyways Walmart has a bunch if you come at the right time.......Oh and i almost forgot they are building a beach which is by the shopping center and across Gotchi Records. Oh and here is a little thing that not even my sister knows... I screamed so loud...... but no one heard it because i was soooo excited that i would get to go to an entirely different tama town. ok Phobe, im sorry but i can only answer one. You can make ur tama grow faster, but there are consequences.And im afriad they are not good ones. You have to preform a surgery on ur tama.
1. Unscrew the back
2.Un screw all the others (4)
3. get a normal pencil and you will see a green space once you have opened the entire tamagotchi
4. look carefully and you will see the word debug.
5. rub the circle under the word about 8 times very gently.

You connect it to the PC by:
1- See the fifth icon on ur tamagotchi? The one with the heart? Click on it
2- it will say VS, Special and PC. Click on PC
3- One of your tamagotchis will fly up then it will say "Login NO"
4- Copy the code under the "Login NO" and paste it in the tamatown V5
