Tamagotchi + Color - Oyajitchi and Otokitchi

Finally my Meidotchi has grown into the old-timer stage: she became Otokitchi. It took such a long time for her to grow in this stage (10 years/days). Anyway here are some pictures I took of her and what happened after she got married.

It's never too late to fall in love :)

a baby boy!

an hour later the baby grew into Oyajitchi. He skipped the toddler and teenage stage.

Well there you have it, that's how you get Oyajitchi on the TMGC+C. It's important to note that if a girl is born you will get Gorippatchi instead of Oyajitchi. I so wanted to get Gorippatchi :( Well, I'll try again. I'll let Oyajitchi get old and then marry him. Maybe this time around I'll get Gorippatchi.
Till next time :D

Tamagotchi Collection

Today I decided to take out all my Tamagotchis and take a picture of them. Here's the result. They're all the tamagotchis I have right now (except an Osutchi which doesn't work, so I did not include it in the photo). The only Tama I'm running is the TMGC+C (bottom of the photo).
Quick update the Meidotchi on my TMGC+C is currently 9 years old and she still has not changed into Otokitchi. Does any one know when she might change?

Tamagotchi + Color - Meidotchi

If you've seen my previous post you might already know that my Tamagotchi morphed into a Meidotchi. Anyway, I decided to post some more pics of her:

Close-up of Meidotchi

Having a bath in her new bathroom

As you can see in the above picture, my Tamagotchi now lives in a palace! :D I bought all the Royal themed rooms and to my surprise the house became a palace. I love how realistic they made this tama, so many small, tiny details. The rooms were all very expensive but today I had to stay at home cos I've got a cold or something, so I had enough time to earn lots of gotchi points...I cheated a bit actually ;P I played the memory game; you know, the one where you are shown a set of cards and then they are hidden and you have to remember where the cards were. Well I decided to cheat a bit: I quicly took a picture with my brother's iPhone each time I was shown the cards, then I referred to the picture on the cell-phone to see where the cards were! I never lost once :D
Anyway, about my Meidotchi,I'm not going to let her get married, instead I'll wait till she becomes old and grows into Otokitchi, then I'll marry her to an Ojitchi so that I'll get Gorippatchi. I'm not entirely sure if this will work but that's what I've been told (thanks OsuMesu :D).
I'll keep y'all updated :)

Tamagotchi + Color - Happy / Lucky items

This is for all those people who have the Tamagotchi + Color. As you might already know, the happy bar of the TMGC+C can be extended by finding 7 special items. Below is how you will find all these items:

1. rainbow = use the rainbow watering can on a day with puffy clouds. The rainbow watering can is won in the lottery. You get lottery tickets whenever you buy something from the shop or from TamaDepa (you might need to repeat this several times)

2. shooting star = use the telescope on a clear night (you might need to repeat this several times)

3. four-leaf clover = use the magnifying glass, just after planting a seed on a day with puffy clouds (you might need to repeat this several times)

4. eating ice-popsicle = eat ice-candy on-a-stick. The ice-lolly is bought from the shop. (you might need to repeat this several times)

5. Tea = drink Japanese tea. Buy the tea from the shop. (you might need to repeat this several times)

6. heart-shaped cloud = in the sky on a day with puffy clouds (you might need to repeat this several times)

7. hapihapi = eat a candy heart from the hapihapi tree (you get hapihapi seeds by going to the connection icon (the 5th icon at the top) and then press the second option. Then enter this code: 84328 41937 and you will receive a hapihapi seed. Plant the seed and wait for it to grow. After it grows you will get a heart shaped fruit. Eat the fruit and you will receive a visit from Hapihapi). The good thing about the extended happy-bar is that your tama won't need to play games often since it takes a long time before it empties. Check out how big the happy-bar will become:

There you go. I managed to get all the items. After you get all 7 items you will be able to visit the TamaKing and play a game similar to the apple-catching game (but you catch hearts and coins instead). If you catch all the coins you willreceive 500GP! I really, really liked that cos it's so difficult raising money from the 3 regular games. Here are some photos of my Tamagotchi visiting the King:

Travelling by helicopter, so classy :)

Playing the game

Also, let me tell you of a small cheat I used to get the clear sky with puffy clouds: go to the clock and press A and C button to put the clock in set-mode. Then change the month to sometime between July or August. When you go outside you should find a clear day. This is important if you want to get the rainbow, the clover, shooting star, and the heart-shaped cloud items. For the heart shaped item, make sure that there are the puffy clouds against a clear sky and press the B button to shift from outside to inside, do this until you see the heart shaped item.

Tamagotchi V5 - make Your Tamagotchis Grow Faster

I'm writing this post because many people have been asking me how to make their tamas grow faster. I've been receiving many emails and posts regarding this. Hopefully this post will diminish the number of emails I'm receiving about this topic:
There is NO WAY That you can make your tamas grow faster. There has never been this sort of cheat and probably there never will be. You can however, debug your tama (by opening the unit and scratching a panel marked "debug" with a pencil). However this only works with US tamas and I would not recommend it because you cannot undebug and sometimes the debugging process breaks the tamagotchi.

Tamagotchi + Color: Mametchi

Just a quick update; My TMGC+C has evolved into Mametchi :) I was hoping to get Kutchipatchi but instead I got this guy. I have to say that it's been nice having him around these past few days. My favourite animation of Mametchi is right before he poops >_< He makes such a funny face :D
Also You might notice that I refurbished his living room to the royal theme. This was the most expensive style (more than 3000 gp) but I love how spacious the room looks now. I'm now trying to upgrade the rest of the rooms to the royal theme but this will take some time...patience is a virtue.
Till next time! TTFN :)

Your name in Hiragana or Katakana.

Oh if only I'd found this website earlier when I had just received my Tamagotchi + Color, I'd have properly written my name in Hiragana when I was asked to enter my name upon starting the TMGC+C. Anyway, for those who want to know their name in Hiragana or Katakana they can click here. It's really easy: just type your name in the textbox and click the 'run' button. The website offers more ways of translating your name, including Greek, Cherokee, Arabic and finger spelling.

P.S. the Tamagotchi+Color uses Hiragana (not Katakana) for the name input.

Tamagotchi + Color - Kuribotchi

Hi everyone, well since last time I logged my new baby boy grew up into his child stage: Kuribotchi. I've always loved this little guy and it's been nice having him around. His animations are simple but cute. He blushes a lot and it's so kawai when he does it :D. I was going to take a picture of him doing his blushing thing but he had already grown into his teenager stage (a Young Mametchi again...I so wanted to get a Kikitchi). Here are a couple of pictures I took of him:

Kuribotchi just hanging around

Also I've recently received my first ever Angelgotch. I've been wanting to have one of these for years, and finally I have it!! Oh it's so simple but so cute. I'm loving it so far. It's really easy to take care of and feels so small in my hand after I've been using the TMGC+C these past few weeks. However I'm having a problem with the back screws. I wanted to change the batteries to new ones so I tried removing the back. Well one of the screws came out easily but the other one is stuck. No matter how hard I wrestled with it, it just wouldn't budge. So I had to give up and use the old batteries that were already installed, but I don't know how long these would last since they've been in there for twelve years! the screen already is looking faded. I'll try to remove the battery again if I find the time. wish me luck.

Tamagotchi + Color - Kuro-Mametchi

Yesterday my Young Mametchi evolved into Kuro-Mametchi. He's not exactly the cutest character but I think he looks really cool with his piercings...he rocks :)

Here's an extra closeup shot of him. For some reason these photos turned out better than usual...I don't know why.

I'd like to mention that I bought the nyokinyoki (did I spell that right?) potion from the Tama Depa. It was really expensive (3600) but worth it. When used it makes the tree grow instantly. I've used it countless times until I managed to get a money tree and received 1000 gotchi points from it :D.
Anyway, my Kuro-Mametchi got married to a Furawatchi a few hours ago and I have another baby boy. I was hoping to get a girl so that I could get Gorripatchi, but oh well, I can get Kutchipatchi now, he's one of my favourite characters.

Tamagotchi + color - Young Mametchi

My second generation baby boy had grown into Ahirukutchi. Unfortunately I did not find the time to take a picture of him...sigh...they grow up so fast:). Anyway, He has now grown into his teenage stage: a cute Young Mametchi. I love looking at his stand-by animation. He jumps up happily every now and then, bless. Here's a close-up of him:

I also took this picture a few minutes ago, when I pressed the B button to check on the tree, the sky was a beautiful red. I took a picture of it cos it looked so cool. I had never seen the sky like this. It's usually snowing but today the weather was mostly cloudy, which was a nice change.

That's it for today. Till next time :D

Tamagotchi + Color - Marriage Finally

Finally my LoveZukintchi was ready to get married. I've been really curious to see how the marriage animation would turn out to be. And I have to say that I wasn't disappointed. Below are a series of pictures I took of the animation. I apologize if the photos are not so clear, The animation was very fast and my camera could hardly keep up.

Visiting the matchmaker

Mametchi is the lucky guy :D

Love at first sight!

Fireworks in Color!

New baby boy! The character's name is Kinotchi

LoveZukintch and Kinotchi playing

Kinotchi sleeping, Awwww so sweet :D

LoveZukintchi leaving :'(

Kinotchi calling my name.

Well there you have it. My first generation of my TMGC+C. I sort of don't like the fact that the parent leaves right after having the baby. It was nice having the parent and child for a couple of days before starting the new generation. But overall it's been fun and I can't wait to get the new characters. I will be posting images of all the new characters I get so don't forget to check back often.

Tamagotchi + Color - Lovezukintchi

My TMGC+C finally grew into her adult stage. She's become a Lovezukintchi! Again, this is the first time I've had this character even though she was on the V5. I've been talking to some TMGC+C owners and most of them have been getting Memetchi a lot. Although I love Memetchi, I wanted to get a different charcter so I took average care of her while in the teen stage (her hunger meter dropped completely a couple of times). I was hoping to get Gorippatchi but I don't mind at all that I have Lovezukintchi, she's adorable :) here she is:

Also I haven't mentioned that I changed her living room style. I love this Japanese style, I'm hoping to refurbish all the rooms (bedroom, bathroom, kitchen etc) and change them to this style. However refurbishing is very expensive so this might take a while.
I've taken a picture of the meter screen. Notice the happy bar. This is extended every time you find a happy item. There are seven happy items to collect. So far I've only managed to get 3.

Also here are a couple of pictures I took of my Lovezukintchi going to the fair:

on the train

having the ride of her life :D

feeling dizzy @_@

I'll be updating again as soon as Lovezukintchi gets married. Till then: peace out :)

Tamagotchi + Color - Chamametchi

I took a couple more pictures of Chamametchi before she grows into an adult. It had been snowing for days on the TMGC+C but today it finally started raining and so I decided to use an item I bought: the umbrella.

I loved the umbrella animation. It was so precious :D Chamametchi started running around with it and then she goes off screen for a few seconds. Then she appears again floating down, using her umbrella as a parachute.

Also you may notice that the hapohapi tree has grown to full size. After Chamametchi ate the heart -shaped fruit she received a visit from Hapihapitchi and her happy bar increased. I'm currently trying to get another happy item by using the magnifying glass, but nothing has happened so far.
Till next time.

Tamagotchi + Color - Chamametchi

Another quick update. There's so much going on with this tama, I can hardly keep up! But that's definitely a good thing:) To start off this post let me show you a picture of the teen character that my Sakuramotchi grew into:

Chamametchi! Again, this is a new character for me; I've never had her before now and I can't get over how cute she is!

I decided to take her to the playground and there she met Young Dorotchi. They had quite a long conversation, I wish I knew what they were talking about. Can anyone read the speech bubble and leave a comment with the translation?

I don't know if I mentioned it already, I've planted a hapihapi tree which has already grown up a little bit. Once the tree grows to full size I'll receive a visit from Hapihapitchi which should increase the happy bar. I can't wait to see what Chamaetchi will grow up into. I'll keep you guys posted :)

Tamagotchi + Color - Sakuramotchi

My Nokotchi had turned into a Sakuramotchi :D I've never had this character before because I haven't bought the V5 or V5.5. But now here she is in full color and a glorious resolution. Awseome :) Below is a quick picture I took of her. I have no idea what the thing in the left of the screen is...my guess is that it's a Japanese New Year's ornament? Can anyone clarify this?

I also took a picture of her while she was outside. As you can see I planted a tree. Trees will bear different items when they grow up. the items can be stored and used.

I cheated a bit and turned the clock to 6.59 am and waited for one minute. then I went outside and the tree grew. I repeated until the tree had grown full size and...a paint palette! :) Sakuramotchi uses it to paint pictures, Kawai!

Sakuramotchi has now grown into her teen character. I'll be telling you all about it in the next post, so check back in a few hours! :D

Tamagotchi + Color - first day

Hi everyone! First off, Happy New Year 2009!!
This post will be about my first day with my Tamagotchi + color.
The first thing you get when you put in the battery is the clock which you have to set (picture below). Don't you just love the faces on all the clocks? :D

Then I was asked to enter my birthday and my name. I had to refer to a Hiragana chart to spell out "Ge Se", it does sound a bit like my name in short. Anyway, I was then presented with a cute egg rolling around the screen which hatched after a minute. I managed to take a picture right when the egg started hatching: I was expecting a boy because most of the logs I read on the internet mentioned that they got a boy in their first generation. But, surprise surprise...I got a girl!! so sweet ^_^ Here's a picture of her saying my name:

The character name is Nokotchi...I'm not sure if that means anything in Japanese. She was very needy at this stage as is common with all tama-babies. I was happy to see that the C-click animation is present on this Tamagotchi. Here's a close up shot of my baby :)

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I love the details on this tama. Althought the color screen is a novel feature, everything else is pure Tamagotchi. Bandai did a great job on the animations and the color screen is put to good use. Look at the screen below and notice how the screen turns dark when the tamagotchi gets sick, a really nice touch, don't you think?

Anyway, a few minutes later my Nokotchi went to sleep. I was sooo happy to see that they included the sleeping animation. I didn't like that they had removed the sleeping animation on the recent tamagotchis. But this one was a real treat (notice the face on the bed)

An hour later my Nokotchi evolved into her child stage...but I'll be keeping that a secret for now ;) Check back later for more updates, pictures and info.
